2023 Nominations are open and extended through April 16!

This marks the 14th year of this event. Rising Business Stars always reach for the best. Some 260 of our community’s (Eugene/Springfield, Oregon) high achievers were honored with 20 under 40 status since the awards began in 2008.

Today’s emerging business leaders change our community through innovation, creativity and hard work. The 20 Under 40 Awards recognizes 20 rising stars committed to career excellence and engaged in making the Eugene-Springfield area a better place. These young leaders already have done amazing things – and they’re just getting started.

People who recognize their impact submit the nominations. A panel of judges, including past winners, selects the top 20 each year.

“Each of the winners have contributed to strengthening our local economy and our community,” said Matt Sayre, managing director of Onward Eugene and a 2016 winner. “The awards are as much about what the winners are going to achieve, as it is about what they have already accomplished.”

20 Under 40 Awards: Inspire Community - Lead, Act, Give

Ralph Parshall, general manager of Mercedes-Benz of Eugene, first conceived of the 20 under 40 Awards in 2008. Winners show excellence in their careers, put a priority on community service and want to make their community the best it can be.

“I find joy in seeing the impact past winners make on our community. Every year I’m inspired when I read through the nominations. It’s always a very difficult decision to pick just 20 people to recognize.”
